Dr. Xiujie WU, research professor of Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology (IVPP), Chinese Academy of Sciences. She is a doctoral supervisor, member of Paleontology Society of China, and Society of Vertebrate Paleontology of China. She was selected as national member of New Century Hundreds and Thousands of Talents Project, and awarded the government special allowance of the State Council. She is current director of the Paleoanthropology department, and serves as deputy chief-editor of Acta Anthropologica Sinica. She specializes in human cranial and endocranial brain evolution as well as paleopathology in human fossils. Her achievements have twice been included in the "Top 10 Scientific Advances in China".
