The dental caries of the neolithic population from Zengpiyan cave of Guilin, China

Abstract: The 283 teeth of 16 human skulls unearthed at neolithic site o f Zengpiyan cave in Gualin of China w ere observed. The frequency of dental caries is 93.75% . The DMFT is 6. 07. This frequency is much higher than that of other Stone Age population and that of modern population living in the same area.
